To strip or not to strip? Egyptian clerics debate sex

Just to lighten things up over the dire predictions of continued terrorism, the advent of a nuclear Iran and the general disaster that is the ME, now you know why young Muslim men are in such a hurry to blow themselves up and get to paradise with their 72 virgins serving their every need:

CAIRO: An Egyptian cleric's controversial fatwa claiming that nudity during sexual intercourse invalidates a marriage has uncovered a rift among Islamic scholars. According to the religious edict issued by Rashad Hassan Khalil, a former dean of the prestigious Al-Azhar University's faculty of Sharia (or Islamic law), "being completely naked during the act of coitus annuls the marriage."

He's hoping that there's no stupid, fat, turban wearing Jerry Falwell Imam clone in heaven telling him he can't see a naked woman. The Daily Star - Politics - To strip or not to strip? Egyptian clerics debate sex

I really do have to wonder though, with directives like these, how are Muslim populations one of the most prolific in births each year?

During the live televised debate, Islamic scholar Abdel-Moti dismissed the fatwa, saying: "Nothing is prohibited during marital sex, except of course sodomy."

For his part, Al-Azhar's fatwa committee chairman Abdullah Megawar argued that married couples could see each other naked but they should not look at each other's genitalia and suggested that they cover up with a blanket during sex. - AFP

I swear that these guys get put on TV, not to give good advice to faithful practicing Muslims, but to show them how ignorant and down right backward their current religious leaders are. The same reason I think we give air time to our idiots: we ALL need a little laugh once in awhile.
